Even for healthy children, check-ups are very important!  This allows us to assure that growth and development are appropriate for young children; and to screen for social, emotional, behavioral, and school problems in older children.  A normal schedule of check-ups for children includes visits in the newborn period, at 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, and 5 years. After age 5, children should continue to have physical exams every year.

Children have different health needs at every stage of life.  Here is some important information about children at different ages.
