Newborns

Choosing a pediatrician is an important decision when you are expecting a baby. Many people choose a doctor for their child based on recommendations from trusted friends and family members, while others prefer to meet and interview pediatricians themselves. If you are expecting a baby and would like to meet one of our doctors, our office can schedule a prenatal visit. There is no charge for a prenatal visit and it is an excellent way to see the office and meet our staff. One of our pediatricians will answer any questions you have about infants and our pediatric practice.

Don’t worry if a prenatal visit does not fit into your busy schedule – this is certainly not a requirement to become a patient! After baby arrives, all you need to do is call our office (preferably prior to being discharged to go home) to schedule your newborn visit, which is usually done within a few days after hospital discharge.

Columbus Regional Hospital offers prenatal classes covering many topics to assist expectant parents including breastfeeding, safe sleep, baby care, transition to parenthood, home safety, and more.
