Hospital Care

Columbus Regional Hospital has a Newborn Nursery, a Level 2 Nursery for newborns requiring extra care, and a specialized pediatric ward unit staffed by nurses trained in caring for children. 

In 2021, Columbus Regional transitioned to having full-time hospital pediatricians care for all babies in the nursery and all pediatric patients admitted to the hospital. Since that time, our doctors no longer see patients at the hospital, but we work closely with the hospitalists to provide close follow-up to any of our patients who need hospital care.
